On that compilation, it looks like Bourbonese Qualk, The Legendary Pink Dots and Stress are lost among punk bands. Their three tracks, each one in his own style, are very great.
The Legendary Pink Dots' "A Message From Our Sponsor" track is version 1. A very different version was released the same year on the "Asylum" 2LP. That version 1 was later re-released on "Stained Glass Soma Fountains" 2CD, but it sounds like it's a different mix and the LP version is a bit longer. Anyway, a wonderful track !

Steven Tanza (aka Stanza), co-founder of Bourbonese Qualk with Simon Crab, left the band after the "Bourbonese Qualk" LP.
In 1988, the same year Bourbonese Qualk played live in Bordeaux, that debut LP of Stanza's new project, The State, was released.
Other The State releases will be posted in the next few days.

Nemesis was an italian fanzine created by Nicola Catalano, who was also organising a music festival and was an active networker at that time. At least three issues were published, each one coming with an international compilation cassette.

On Le Syndicat website, we can read about that release : "In 1983, Ruelgo meets Pacific 231. This industrial French artist is a pioneer of the style. He has just produced one of the first French industrial compilation (Ritual Dos Sadicos) which included also cold wave tracks. His is equipped with electronic instruments and with a typewriter. With him, Ruelgo will refine its industrial culture and will enter in contact with the "Mail Art" network of the years 80. Pacific 231 has contacts all over the world and received a heap of contributions to his new project of compilation. Le Syndicat will publish the volume zero of this compilation : "L'Enfer Est Intime", and will contribute to his electro tribal project : ANKH".
In 1985 as well was released by VP 231 a double compilation LP, "L'Enfer Est Intime : Volume Général".

"Back in '88 I had written to them at the address on the LP and they wrote back telling me to send them a blank tape. They sent it back with their first EP + 7", some live tracks and other oddities. My tape does have 4 unique songs going by title alone - "Brain Police (Live)", "Toad World", "I'm Anal" & "Let It All Hang Out (Live)"".

That cassette compilation is surprising, as it features famous artists (Bene Gesserit, Konstruktivits, The Legendary Pink Dots, Nurse With Wound, P16.D4) as well as many names who have never appeared anywhere else.
It contains a minimal but wonderful version of "Flesh Parade", one of my favourite tracks by The Legendary Pink Dots / Edward Ka-Spel.

Minóy was a name that everyone knew in the eighties' post-industrial cassette network, as he had a lot of cassettes released, but he has strangely disappeared during the nineties and then was a little forgotten.
Recently, Phillip B. Klingler has posted on his blog a PBK/Minóy collaboration work, "Cloisters", with an interesting text, where I've learned more than I ever knew about the man, and where I saw him for the first time...
