I've met Hubert Haverkamp through the mail in the 80s as he was involved in the cassette network. Hubert began playing drums at the age of 6 years old. In the early 80s, he was a member of the band Legion Fondor. In 1984 he founded a first cassette label, Exit Tapes, while he was doing solo experimental music under the name BogArt. Then he created the Bog-Art label and became a member of the band Mortification To The Flesh. The Bog-Art label released mainly cassettes in the mid-eighties, and then vinyl after the late eighties ; Bog-Art also opened a record shop in Berlin in 1990.
Hubert has been kind enough to rip some of his 80s releases that I'm gonna post till the end of that month...

Greater Than One - Radio Program [Radio Broadcast Series #6]

Greater Than One was one of the major bands of the 80s post-industrial movement. Before becoming mostly devoted to techno-like music, they made some very personal records, between danceable electronic and more experimental audio work.
That cassette was sent to radio stations to promote their early releases. It includes tracks from various cassettes and vinyl records, as well as unreleased tracks, and is an excellent introduction to their early work.

Early Greater Than One records have been recently rereleased by Brainwashed Recordings (more specifically Brainwashed Archives) :
- "Kill The Pedagogue", their very first cassette ;
- "All The Masters Licked Me", their brilliant debut LP (released by Side Effects Records) for the first time on CD, including as well the "Trust" LP ;
- "London", another great release, that includes the excellent "Dance Of The Cowards" CD as well as much more material originally released on vinyl or cassette ;
- "G-Force", that is not my favourite...

"Joee Conroy had booked Zoviet France to play Snaglewet (the old Tewlegans Tavern) on a Friday night. Later the club books the Flat Duo Jets on the same night without informing Joee or Zoviet France. When Zoviet France arrive to find out this information a hubub ensues and they ask to Joee 'Whose apartment can we play nearby?' I had made up some posters for the show - silkscreened a design on fake wood laminate (which I put on metal telephone poles) and fake ceramic floor tiling (which I put on wood telephone poles) in celebration of their legendary packaging. (Joee's poster was especially bad and this encouraged me to do my own.) So Joee suggests my apartment which was extremely close to Snaglewets. Thus one hot sweaty night in mid-May 1991 Zoviet France played in my livingroom through my stereo & this release is a recording of that show. The air conditioner had to be turned off to avoid adding noise to the show but after the show a few members of Zoviet France remarked they were quite pleasantly surprised to hear planes flying overhead during the show. My apartment was on one of the flight paths of United Parcel Service and the air traffic was an interesting addition to the show".

From Dead Tech MySpace : "In 1981, Mitch Enderle was the first collaborator with Dan Burke recording as Psychotic Dub, which later became Illusion Of Safety. In 1985 Mitch released a cassette on Complacency called Dead Tech. This work was Industrial music described as "noise like it used to be", featuring distorted drum machine, loops, samples, synth, guitar, and vocals very similar to early SPK, Nocturnal Emission, and Test Department".
