Tôf aka Christophe Baudelot was the man behind the french cassette label Sinfonien Produkt in the eighties. He had a few experimental tracks on compilations during that period. Now he's doing concrete / electroacoustic music. "Dans Le Souffle" was first released on CDr by Ambitus Perceptif in 2012.

From the booklet : "The Legendary Pink Dots side of the cassette is entitled "The Politics Of Excess". It contains Edward's 8-track cut-up of many, many old Dot songs, along with Phil's manipulated samples from the eight track. This was mixed live 11/92 in their attic in Gendt. Having had so much fun on the first mix, a second attempt was made. These were both so lovely and quite different (though it uses the same material), that I could not choose which to use for Tryst, so we do the most confusing option and use both. Half of the Tryst will have Mix One and half will be Mix Two / (...) Since the Pink Dots got to do two mixes, so have BCO".
That post being the rip of one tape, it contains only one mix of each artist / side. If you have the other ones, please don't hesitate to share ! (Another rip of the cassette is available here, but these are the same mixes)

FâLX çèrêbRi (alias Graf Haufen) is an artist I cherish a lot because I saw him performing live (along with Das Synthetische Mischgewebe, Esplendor Geométrico and Laibach) the night I was converted to industrial music in 1986. A few years ago I was wondering what he was becoming until I discovered he was very active on Discogs where he published an interesting little bio :

"A little blurb about myself:
I discovered punk when I was 13, startet my own tape label (Graf Haufen Tapes) when I was 14, releasing music of my own and friends. In 1981 I started publishing "Die Katastrophe", the first tape-review fanzine of Germany. Later I also distributed other peoples tapes and expanded the label rooster internationally. In 1982 my musical tapes shifted more towards experimental music, noise and hardcore electronics. It all came to an end in 1985, when I stopped my label and turned more towards visual art, opening an apartment gallery and working with a professional gallery for two years.
In 1987 I turned towards electronic dance music, with Hip House and Acid developing. Techno, house and ambient became my main diet for the next 12 years. I co-owned a techno/electronic dance music store in Berlin for a few years until it went bankrupt, always providing me with the best the genre had to offer.
As I always listened to various other genre of music (apart from mainstream - that never interested me), I developed a fondness for bar jazz and exotica in the later 1990s. Singer-/Songwriter and intelligent indie pop and rock music are a huge part of my collection too.
After attending concerts by Earth and later Sunn O))) a new door was opened for me. Doom, black metal, white metal, sludge, screamo and a lot of experimental music gave me new kicks.
Music will always be my first love.
I own and operate a video and dvd rental store for unusual and aquired taste for the last 29 years. Mostly I work the office, so I basically listen to music while I'm working for at least 12 hours a day.
I'm always hungry for more...

Miguel A. Ruiz is one of the most important artists of the spanish industrial / experimental music scene from the beginning until now. When I posted the only Minóy tape I possess (Nightslaves), exactly five years ago, there was nearly nothing on the net about that artist. At that time he was still alive. He died on March 19th 2010. After his death, his life partner gave his audio archives to Phillip Klingler (PBK) who then discovered many unreleased recordings. Phillip has been looking for labels to release some of those mostly never heard before complete albums after having carefully remastered them. He decided to offer two albums to Nostalgie De La Boue. "No Fats, No Fems, Uncut" is the first one. It was recorded in 1990. Phillip has also created a Facebook page where interesting documents have been posted. Thank you for all that Phillip !

Various Artists - La Chair Entre Les Lignes

I've recently been in touch again with Serge Peirat, founder in the eighties of the Marseille-based label Les Ballets Mécaniques, who expressed the wish to see his releases available for free. So I decided to re-post "La Chair Entre Les Lignes", a classic compilation cassette of extreme post-industrial and experimental musics (also released in the US by Panic Records & Tapes), that was ripped and shared six or seven years ago by the now defunct blog Dualtrack.

On Discogs, Serge Peirat has written those comments about that cassette :
"A really interesting tape : most of the bands, here, are doing tapes manipulations, cut-up or sounds collages : Etant Donnés is an amazing artistic duet, full of powerfull poesy and creativity....A must. I don't know if this track "transparente nature" can be found in another item.
Some of the presents bands were very importants and wellknown in the 80's as Smegma, SBOTHI and The Haters. Others, like SWSW THRGHT, Emile Beaulieau (the manager of RRRecords doing a very good concrete music!), Der Akteur and Burden of Frienship (look at Scott Marshall's website. He was the leader and is a really interesting libertarian artist...)are really really interesting.
OrganHouse was doing a very good ritual music : "sumerian charm against Daemons that assail in the Night" is one of the greatest ritual/magical song I know...
L'Akstremauncio was a catalan (not spanish!)band doing a very profound, rich and sincere harsh electronic music. Much more than a standart noise band! Look at their tape "Pogrom a Ashkenas", even the cover is different from the standart industrial iconografy...
Psychodrama, led by the astonishing Brett Kirby was a neo dadaist-provocativ-crazy performers band... "Devil in cabaret" is a good exemple of their best facet.
The others bands, in my opinion, are not as interesting as these first ones.
This tape gives a very good view of the experimental scene in the late 80's (sound collage - concrete music - noisy music -ritual music - out of boundaries music )..."
