Samplers, voice changing digital delays, megaphones, live sampling and pre-recorded tapes. As well as large black and white paintings decorated the stage and two slide carousels projected artworks. The live sound recording was taken from a cassette so apologies if the sound quality isn't up to today's digital quality.

Recorded live as part of the Tegentonen festival.

This was an industrial experimental performance. A self made 16mm film accompanied the show with slides projected through smoke machines. The performance comprised of live sampling and a mix of tapes, found sounds and loops, treated through digital delays and effect pedals and tonal processors. The audio is taken from a live recording including the ambient sound, so the quality is what it is.

Liquid Sphere + Bruno Verneret - Nothing's real anymore

Laurent Guerrier (Liquid Sphere) and clarinet player Bruno Verneret started collaborating about 4 years ago. Since then, they have been working together using two different methods.

Firstly, by providing Bruno Verneret with abstract soundscapes created by Laurent Guerrier, on top of which the musician improvises clarinet, bass clarinet and sometimes flute parts that are processed in real time and/or afterwards. This method is for example featured on the self-released 'Landscapes' EP (2022).

Secondly, by letting the clarinet player improvise several parts one after another, parts that Laurent Guerrier later alters and edits, cutting, stretching and putting them through effects, as for the 'Hope, fear and relapse' EP (Taâlem, 2024).

The latter method was used for the two tracks presented here, which are actually two different mixes of the same material provided by Bruno Verneret, each offering a different perspective on the same soundscape.

Ethersphere was composed and recorded over a period of 2 years (1998-2000) and was a limited release on CDr in 2001 by Slaughter Productions. It is the first and only Memoria work to be recoded digitally as prior tracks were created on 4-track tape and suffered from various analog problems.

APPÄRET is the manifestation of three instruments that came together by chance one December afternoon : Jeanne Gorisse's double bass, Julien Goussina's piano and Marina Levallois' setup of a synthesizer, pedals and a soundboard. There was magic in this spontaneous association—magic and a touch of childhood, too, with the rediscovered joy of playing for the first time with grown-up toys. Joy never is that far away.

Recorded live in Lorfou in December .024, just before the winter solstice. Spontaneous mixing and playful mastering by Éliane Blaise @Violet Intimacy Studio in February.
